Saturday there was a wild storm.
By 3p.m. it was almost pitch black outside and there was a very still wind forewarning a storm blowing in .
You should have seen the color of the sky, like the deepest bruise, with monstrous, pillowy clouds forming into one giant mass of black taking over the entire horizon. Then the thunder interrupted the quiet. You heard them and you felt them, like bombs going off right before a whip of lightening would awake the entire world for just a second.
It was almost scary but mostly exhilarating!
The rain clamored down like shattering glass and all the sounds joined together into a chorus of pandemonium. It reminded me of a dozen 2 year old toddlers running manic through the house with every pot, pan and dish they could get their hands on, throwing and banging them around the room. Their noises magnified by echoes upon echoes.
You Arizonians should have seen it! It was a refreshing storm!
Here comes hurricane season. Keep us in your prayers.
